Love the paired back neutral interiors but not quite sure how to pull the look together? Don't worry, we've got you.
For a paired back, tranquil interior start with a relaxed colour palette of warm neutral tones, then layer natural materials and textures. I've broken the process down into 4 simple steps that will make the whole process a breeze!
- 1. Build a palette of soft neutrals tones in warm shades of greige, ecru and taupe for a welcoming look. Cold-blue greys are a definite no-no and avoid the temptation to contrast with a bold colour like hot pinks, lime greens or bright blues.
- 2. Texture is king for a successful neutral scheme. Opt for handwoven baskets, wicker, sheepskins, boucle and unpainted timber to show off the wood’s grain. Rustic ceramics and pottery will complete the look.
- 3. Layer tactile textures to make this a homely look. Cosy throws, rugs, and cushions in tones inspired by nature.
- 4 Finish the look with sculptural pieces like lamps and vases. Add carefully curated details such as inspiring coffee table books and scented candles
