Regular followers of Tailor Made Living will know that in the summer of 2019 we made a conscious move into home decor. We transformed the back of our shop in 48 hours and made space to stock more decorative products - you can follow the adventure in this Instagram video if you want a peek behind the scenes!
It was a natural transition for me as I am an interiors enthusiast and decorating and styling spaces is something I enjoy enormously. With that in mind and a new season just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share some of the top interiors trends coming through this year.
New Neutrals
I'm obsessed with this look at the moment (as this Pinterest board will attest) - its laid back charm and chill vibes make our homes feel inviting and restful. The look is rooted in sustainability and considered choices and yes, it is neutral but think warm tones rather than cool greys and lots and lots of texture.
New neutrals are easy to transition from season to season as you can use heavier or lighter layers and textures depending on the weather. The main thing to remember is that this look is rooted in the trend for bringing wellbeing into our homes. Natural materials in warming and paired back colours are key - rattan, jute, wicker, mango wood, linens, knits and weaves derived from natural sources are will be your hero pieces.
